PANTYHOSE BASICS

Control Top	Spandex is in the panty of the pantyhose for a “control” effect
Sheer-to-Waist	No visible panty line or reinforcement in the panty portion. It is an all-sheer garment from waist to toe.
Shaper	Extended control top panty with more support than your regular control top that supports from your stomach to your upper thighs
Reinforced Toe	An extra panel across the toes for added wear. Reinforced toe hosiery is best used for closed toe footwear.
Sandlefoot	Toe and leg yarns are the same. Sandlefoot hosiery is best used for peep toe or open-toe footwear.

What types of handbags should every woman have in her ‘closet’?

There is a bag for every occasion or activity:

Large Roomy Carry-All	...for those bulky items start by suggesting a tote
Tailored Bag	…for everyday wear! Depending on the outfit, you could wear a hobo or a satchel
Casual Bag	…for everyday wear for informal outfits or weekend wear, a cross body is a must!
Evening Bag	…for formal wear when only a small bag is needed, a clutch or wristlet is always a great suggestion for any evening event

Why is there such a price difference between designer brands?

Although price is not always determinant in handbag quality, usually a higher priced handbag can be justified through the quality of the handbag and the brand recognition. Quality considerations include components such as design, color, outer material, inner material handles / hardware and compartments. Edges are turned in and sewn down, which presents a neat and finish appearance and prevents fraying and wear on the edges. What are the different handbag materials to choose from?

Handbags can be made from numerous materials; however, leather continues to be one of the most popular materials used. Other materials include Nylon, coated canvas, fabrics, full leather, vinyl and suede.

How do you care for a handbag?

Some suggested tips are:

-       Clean most leather with a clean, damp cloth

-       Brush suede lightly or dry clean if needed

-       Man-made (such as nylon) materials can be cleaned with soap and water

-       Treat fabric (canvas) with spray repellents and spot removers

Does your wallet and handbag always have to match?

Fashion trend today is that the wallet and handbag can be of a different color, fabric, brand…you name it! It is all about function and fashion.

TERMS & DEFINITIONS

Unconstructed	A handbag with a soft body that is pouchy and squashy. This bag tends to be more comfortable to carry and has fewer sharp edges.
Constructed	A handbag with a specific shape and form. These handbags have frames which better protect the contents of the bag.
