CHILDREN — BOYS
Suggestions
|
As a general rule, boys don’t like to
shop, but that doesn’t mean they don’t care how they look. Ask questions to
find out what they like them present them with options.
|
Sizing
|
If a boy’s size is not known, take the
age and add 1, which will usually be the size for an average-size child.
Different brands have different sizing structures. Familiarize yourself with
each brand’s size and read the labels.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is layette?
Layette
is French for “baby linen.” It is used to describe the complete baby ensemble
for the arrival home.
What is the typical investment of a layette?
A
complete layette will cost about $350 and contains multiple units of the same
or similar items. For example, 6 pairs of socks or booties. This way the new
mom won’t have wash the items as often.
What sizes make up layette?
Layette:
0-9 months
Infant:
3-24 months
How should the layette pieces be cared for?
Machine
wash warm on a gentle cycle. Use only non-chlorine bleach. Always read the
labels first when sharing care information with your customers.
Is there a special way to wash infant clothing?
Yes.
Wash all the clothes you purchase before the baby wears them to remove excess
dyes. Wash with dye-free, scent-free, extra-gentle detergent. Stains should be
removed immediately with dye-free, scent-free stain remover. If this does not
work, use baking soda and club soda.
